| Jack Lalanne Power Juicer |
Jack Lalanne's Power Juicer has been around for a while now and so there are two models. The original model (and my favorite) has the crushing power to juice just about anything. From it's 3,600 RPM motor you can take an entire piece of fruit and put it in the shut and in less than a second juice starts to come out of the chute. Clean up is fairly easy on both models although the new model has been improved and comes with tighter fitting parts. The newer model also has a chute stop that lets you stop the flow of the juice in between glasses. Another benefit of the new model is that it comes in Stainless Steel and Black (limited time offer). Both models now seem to be packaged with the platform which is great for getting a full size glass under the chute and the new model even comes with a drain catcher (for those times you miss a few drops) and measuring cup. I still like how the juice extracting filter is locked into place on the Original model. It takes a few seconds to unlock but seems to keep everything in place alot better. Did you purchase a Jack Lalanne Power Juicer? Have you compared the Original and Express model? Review this product. |

Reviewed by sherry, 2008-01-05 I got my juicer for Christmas. I got it out today and decided to use it. I am having a problem taking off the blade. The little orange handle that you turn counter clock wise is not unlocking the blade and I'm not able to clean the machine. HELP!
Reviewed by Lori, 2007-08-28 I purchased this product at my local Target store for the same amount as seen on TV, less s&h. This is my second juicer and it blows my first juicer away. The amount of juice I get from a small bag of baby carrots is amazing. My favorite drink has got to be 1 whole cucumber, 2 red apples, 1 green apple and 1 bag baby carrots. It's fast, easy & yummy! Clean-up is fairly simple, but there are a few parts to rinse. I like to store the pulp from juicing to use in breads, muffins, etc. I just throw them in a ziplock into the freezer until ready for use. The only thing I have to work around is that the spout where the juice comes out is located too low on the machine to juice right into a pitcher, so I have to use a short mixing bowl to catch the juice & then transfer that juice to a pitcher for storage. You can't really juice into a glass, unless it's a short juice glass, but even then you'll have some splattering. It works great & I use way less fruit/veggies to get good servings of juice. It's fairly quiet, too. I don't cut anything up prior to juicing, unless it's too big for the opening, which doesn't happen too often. Usually, it's just wash and stuff it in the chute, then drink it up...YUM!!
